Ritchie Family // Truth Session // Portland Family Photographers

While scheduling this session with the wonderful mom of this family, Melissa she sent me an email with a photo of her little ones helping her cook. She had told me that I had inspired her to take some more “real” photos of her family. I couldn’t have been more happy, and thats exactly what I want! I want people see the beauty in their every day lives.

When I joined their family on a Saturday morning, I was greeted by a family sitting down to their saturday morning breakfast. I asked the two older girls if this was the normal or if really they were trying to con me and did this just for the photos. They smiled, and said this was a normal for their family. Dad cooks, kids wake up to the smell of breakfast, run down, and enjoy the start of their weekend together. It made me so excited to have a family of my own, and start little traditions that work for my family. Its a beautiful thing family.  The older girls really take to the littles, and it was such a joy to see how they took them under their wing.

This family is pretty great, I am so happy to be able to go into homes and see how every family works. The parents were pretty amazing, the little were adorable, and I loved my 3 hours with them. I hope you enjoy your glimpse into this family.
